Miwok School Stewardship Day (Saturday 4/4/26)

Come on out to help us beautify the Miwok School Native Corridor!
We want to teach you about this thriving pollinator garden! With support from Miwok School and the greater community, this landscape was transformed from lawn to habitat, where you can find birds, bees monarch butterflies, and so much more. Now that it has been two years since it's transformation, we need your support in ensuring it remains a healthy landscape for all. Join us for a refreshing morning of pruning and weeding as we celebrate and support the vibrant new growth of spring.
During this workday you'll be able to lend a hand and learn about the following techniques that can be incorporated into any size landscape:
- Resources that are available to support your efforts of converting lawn into a sheet mulched landscape (rebates)
- Native plants that can be incorporated into a low-water use landscape
- How to best care for native plants, and how to distinguish intentional plants from weeds
- Maintenance techniques that are low-cost and low-tech
