Hunger Relief Volunteer - Food Distribution

Our community is in need of Hunger Relief Volunteers, to help those in need. Get out in our community and help distribute fresh produce and healthy groceries at any of Redwood Empire Food Bank's food distribution sites in Sonoma County. Join us in our mission to end hunger in our community.

 

DRIVE THRU: Loading pre-bagged produce items, food boxes, bread, diapers into participants' cars during the drive thru. food distribution.

WALK UP: Handing out food to walking participants. Typically participants bring their own rolling carts or bags.

HOME DELIVERIES: Assisting seniors with delivering groceries to their doorstep, making it easy on them to bring them into their home. Volunteers use REFB rolling carts to deliver these food items, this is a great opportunity to work in teams of two.

 
  • Volunteers must be able to stand for 2-3 hours and lift 15 - 35 lbs repetitively.
  • We are no longer requiring volunteers to wear disposable gloves unless they are handling frozen meats. You are more than welcome to bring your own
  • Wearing a mask Indoors is required, wearing a mask Outdoors is optional.
