OPPORTUNITY:
Our nonprofit music
program currently has an opening for 5 volunteer guitar
instructors for the Marin County chapter and is accepting
applications.
WHO WE
ARE:
Guitars Not Guns is
an international nonprofit (25 years strong) helping at-risk and all children
find positive alternatives to drugs, violence, and addiction. We provide 8-week
series of free guitar lessons and free
instruments in a public group setting such as a library or
community center - right here in Marin County.
YOUR
ROLE AS A GUITAR INSTRUCTOR:
- Help kids tune
guitars
- Teach open chords
and basics
- Encourage and
support students
- Foster
self-confidence and creativity
