Who We Are
ECBA is a volunteer force of Bonus Grandparents that provide consistent and relationship driven literacy support and mentorship. Anyone over 50 can apply to show up to a school in the Bay Area twice a week and meet with "their" kids.
What We Do
ECBA recruits trains and places older adults into elementary schools in the Bay Area. Our organization focuses on literacy fluency through fun reading games. Our organization helps our society in three different directions including child literacy, senior loneliness and critical thinking in our society. Our program requires no experience and can be learned easily.
