Who We Are
Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County is the longest-running Trap-Neuter-Return (T-N-R) organization in the country. Since 1990, we have been the guardians, protectors, and advocates for the unowned cats in our county.
Our nonprofit organization focuses on cats that are not “owned” and have little to no chance of being spayed, neutered, or receiving medical attention. These cats are our county’s most vulnerable; they are the most likely to be neglected and they are the most likely to be forgotten.
What We Do
Spay and Neuter
With close to 50,000 cats altered to date, we are reducing the population of unowned, free-roaming cats eliminating health issues, euthanasia instances, animal abuse and neglect before they can ever occur.
Barn & Garden Cats
We are looking for people to adopt displaced cats that are best suited for a rural or garden setting. This relocation program gives cats a chance at an outdoor home that is safe.
Cat Adoptions
Each year we place hundreds of cats and kittens in permanent homes looking for a new lease on life.
Our Adoption program finds homes for tame adults we find living in feral cat colonies and for formerly feral kittens who have been tamed and socialized by our volunteer foster parents.
Pick of the Litter Thrift Store
Every purchase and donation helps support Forgotten Felines' mission to spay and neuter every unowned cat in Sonoma County. Proceeds from the store directly help fund our spay/neuter clinics, making it possible for thousands of cats each year to receive lifesaving care and helping prevent future litters from being born into homelessness.
