We Care Animal Rescue

We Care Animal Rescue is a shelter and adoption center for pets in the heart of Napa Valley. Since 1982, we have improved the quality of life for local companion animals by placing animals in forever homes, and providing shelter, compassionate care, and community resources.

At We Care Animal Rescue, our work centers around providing life-saving care, supporting members of the community facing behavioral challenges or monetary concerns, and offering animal welfare resources to our community. While many rescues have the capacity to care for healthy, young animals with no medical needs, few have the staff and flexible space to work with cats and dogs that have advanced medical needs. That’s where we saw a unique need in our community, and we create space not just for easily adoptable cats and dogs, but also for animals who are on long-term medications and may have a long stay in the shelter while waiting for their perfect forever home.  As they would in a family home, animals at our shelter receive medical assistance, care, enrichment, and so much more.
