Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Wildfire Prevention Event at Westwood Hills Park

Join CVNL, CA Climate Action Corps, Napa RCD, City of Napa, and Friends of Westwood Hills Park for a Day of Service in honor of the activists Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta!

Volunteer to remove invasive French Broom, making way for more native plants and creating an environment that is more firesafe.

When:

Saturday, March 25th from 9am - 12pm 

Where:

Westwood Hills Park, 3107 Browns Valley Rd, Napa, CA 94558

Directions: Meet in the parking lot of Westwood Hills Park. You may need to park on the street as the lot fills up quickly. 

 

Volunteer Duties and Requirements: 

- Volunteer with your family and friends to remove invasive French Broom.

- Please wear long sleeves, long pants, close-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and sun glasses. There can be quite a bit of poison oak in the areas where we are working. 

- Please bring your own gloves if you have them. We will provide tools and extra gloves. 

- We will have some snacks and water but please bring a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste.

Volunteer Waivers

All volunteers must sign a waiver to participate. Please click the link below to download and print the waiver and bring it with you to the event.

**Please note**

Volunteers age 14 - 17 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver but can participate without a parent/guardian present.

Volunteers under 14 must have parent/guardian present at the event. 

**Volunteers will also have to sign a City of Napa waiver at the site. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent/guardian to sign this waiver as well.
