Sonoma County Tool Library

Who We Are

The Sonoma County Tool Library (SCTL) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit, FREE tool-loaning service for the residents of Sonoma County. Founded in 2006, it has grown from a neighborhood program into a resource for all DIYers in the county. Today, we have over 700 registered borrowers and process more than 4,000 tool loans a year. Guided by our commitment to community, sustainability, and empowerment, we believe in the power of neighbors helping neighbors. We believe in providing community access to shared resources, making tools available to everyone regardless of income. We also believe in fostering sustainability by reducing consumption through sharing economy principles. Everything we do is guided by our commitment to community, sustainability, and empowerment. We believe in the power of neighbors helping neighbors, and we're proud to be part of a growing movement of tool libraries worldwide. We maintain all tools to professional standards, ensure safe borrowing practices, and continuously expand our collection based on community needs. Our volunteers are passionate about helping you succeed in your projects.
