National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Marin County

Who We Are

Our mission is to provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental health conditions in Marin County can build better lives. We follow these 4 Strategic Pillars: -We advocate on behalf of families for access to effective mental health care, and to end stigma and discrimination. -We educate and support our community through peer and family led programs that are free and open to the public. -We help families navigate local mental health services with compassionate support via our Help Line and other direct services. -We foster human connections and reduce isolation by uniting our diverse community through shared experience, support, and advocacy.

What We Do

NAMI Marin County provides free mental health education, support, advocacy, and resources to individuals and families throughout Marin County. Through programs such as support groups, educational classes, crisis and recovery storytelling, community outreach, Helpline calls, and trainings, NAMI Marin helps people better understand mental health, find support, and connect with local resources. Our goal is to build a community where everyone affected by mental health conditions can access the support, understanding, and hope they need.
