Rohnert Park -Food Distribution Volunteers Needed

Our community is in need of Food Distribution Volunteers, to help those in need. Get out in our community and help distribute fresh produce, healthy groceries, and staple pantry items at one of Redwood Empire Food Bank's sites.
We will be packing food boxes on site as well as distributing them. Please come prepared to assist primarily seniors in lifting their food to their cars or taking it to their doors. Volunteers must be able to stand for 3 hours and be able to lift 15-35 lbs repetitively for up to two hours. Please wear closed toed shoes, sturdy and appropriate clothing, bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, mask and a great attitude. Please bring a vest if you have one, or wear brightly colored clothing. Due to health and safety the Redwood Empire Food Bank is no longer able to lend out vests. On-site training provided. Please ask for the REFB Coordinator upon arrival. Watch this video to see what you can expect during your volunteer shift.
