Volunteer: Community Educators Needed — English and Spanish

Become a Community Educator and help others learn about Alzheimer's and other dementia. Community Educators are trained volunteers who deliver the Alzheimer's Association's free education programs — such as 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's, Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia, and Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body — to community groups, senior centers, faith communities, workplaces and other local audiences.

We provide the training, presentation materials and ongoing support; you bring your voice and your connection to the community. We're especially looking for bilingual volunteers who can present in Spanish, helping us reach Hispanic and Latino families who may not otherwise have access to this information in their preferred language.

No prior teaching experience is required — just a passion for education and a comfort with public speaking. Training and certification are provided free of charge.

Volunteer: NEEDED: Support Dementia Caregivers Support Group Facilitator – North Bay

Help caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's and other dementia find community, connection and support. As an Alzheimer's Association Support Group Facilitator, you'll co-lead a regularly scheduled group where caregivers can share feelings, needs and concerns in a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space — helping them exchange practical caregiving strategies, cope with the stress of caregiving, and connect with others facing similar experiences. No counseling or dementia expertise is required.

We provide full training, ongoing support from Association staff, and a co-facilitator partner for every group — you bring empathy, strong listening skills and a commitment to confidentiality. Facilitators typically commit to leading one meeting per month, in-person or virtually, in the North Bay area.
