Growing Your Nonprofit
If you lead a non-profit or are thinking of starting one, we have a variety of services to help you.
We offer workshops for you and your board members. We recruit volunteers, and can offer you templates and tools. We have job boards, and links to funding. We even offer meeting space.
Workshops and Networking Meetings
Develop new skills and walk away with practical ideas to implement at your organization at our half-day and full-day workshops on fundraising, grant writing, board development, financial management, volunteer management, and marketing/public relations.
Ongoing Networking Meetings
Join a roundtable of Executive Directors, Financial Managers, and Managers of Volunteers.
Financial Managers meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 9:00 am-10:30 am
Volunteer Managers meet on the first Wednesday of the month from 9:00 am – 10:30am
All meetings are held at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County.
Rent a Room
Use our space for larger meetings, work sessions and informational events.
Classroom A – holds up to 50 people theater style or about 40 with tables in a classroom configuration. The room will be set up in a U-shape configuration; however, you can arrange the tables in a configuration that suits your meeting. Tables need to be returned to the U-shape before leaving.
The Boardroom – has a large table which can fit up to 25 people but cannot be reconfigured. The Boardroom can only be rented during business hours which are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

Nonprofit Rate: $18 per hour for nonprofit members and $25 for non-members. Business / Individual Rate: $35 per hour

• Members of the Volunteer Center can access the Foundation Center Directory Online to find potential funders. Browse the complete profiles of grant-makers and their recent grants, listing over 100,000 foundations, and descriptions of more than 2.2 million recent grants.
• To reserve the computer for grant research, call 707-573-3399 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and place “grant research” in the subject line.
• The “2017 Fair Pay for Northern California Nonprofits Compensation & Benefits Survey” is also available to review.
