Summer Corps is, by far, the coolest program of YVC. Well, maybe we’re just biased ‘cause we prefer being outdoors during the summer rather than being cooped up in an office. Either way, it’s still pretty darn rad. 

And what exactly is so rad about it, you ask? Well, dear Watson, everything! Summer Corps is a series of seven week-long community service projects that range from working out on the coast, working at the food bank, planting trees, and even working with differently-abled youth…you name it, we’ll do it! You’ll work with the same group of people for the whole week, which means you’ll actually have a chance to form some solid friendships! We’ve had people who didn’t know each other at the start of the summer become completely joined at the hip by the end. Personally, we think that’s a little bizzare, not to mention, itchy, but hey, whatever works for you! 

There is a fee involved, but we have scholarships available, and you get a lot out of it. A sweet t-shirt, a sweet lunch provided every day, and a sweet end of the week celebration of your hard work! Not to shabby, eh? Far better than just sitting on your couch being sooo b o r e d!
