What is the SkillsBased Volunteer Initiative?
The SkillsBased Volunteer Initiative matches professional volunteers with local nonprofit agencies that are in need of their specific skills and experience.
Is the SkillsBased Volunteer Initiative a right fit for you?
The SkillsBased Volunteer Initiative offers an opportunity to volunteer with different nonprofit agencies while gaining valuable experience. You can choose a project based on location, schedule and length of the project. Some projects can be completed off site.
What role does the Volunteer Center play?
We support local nonprofit agencies by assisting with project development and volunteer management. We cultivate, prepare and supervise the SkillsBased Volunteers who provide the necessary knowledge and practices to increase the agencies effectiveness within our community.
