On February 11, 2009, 2-1-1 was launched as a free, easy-to-remember number that connects Sonoma County residents in need with health and human services. Our Mission is to bring people and services together. We help our residents to help themselves, providing the most relevant, accurate, up-to-date information about the health and human service providers that are available in our region. 2-1-1 also has an easy to use website (211sonoma.org) with over 1200 health and human service programs. 2-1-1 Sonoma County is a private-public partnership between the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, County of Sonoma, United Way of the Wine Country and First 5. In 2013, 2-1-1 Sonoma received Accreditation from the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS) and joined a select group of organizations and programs that have demonstrated their competence in meeting the Standards for Professional Information & Referral.
