Volunteers/Individual –

County of Sonoma: The Jefferson Awards – Excellence in Community Leadership and Civic Engagement. – Nominations due in August. Awards presented in November.

North Bay Leadership Council: Leaders of the North Bay Awards – Leaders within business, organizations, and/or partnerships who contribute to the community through their leadership - Awarded November.

Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce: Excellence in Business Awards – Small business <49 employees, Large Business 50+, and Citizen of the Year - - Deadline for nominations typically in early Nov. - Awarded end of January.

Association of Fundraising Professionals: National Philanthropy Day – Outstanding Youth, Individual or Family, Civic Organization or Business in Philanthropy – Nominations due in early June. - Award in November.

BresNotas Magazine: Hispanic Community Leader Awards – For individuals, businesses, and non-profits who exemplify community service and leadership. Nominations due early Feb. -  Awarded late Feb.

City of Santa Rosa: The Merit Awards – To organizations, individuals, and businesses who have volunteered their time and energies to serve the community and improve the quality of life in Santa Rosa.  Typically nominations due early August. - Awards early November.

Sonoma County Economic Development Boards: Spirit of Sonoma County Award – To recognize individuals based on their contributions to economic development and enhancement of the communities in which they live, work, and conduct business through donations of their time and expertise in support of local business and in helping others. - Awarded in December.

Press Democrat: Community Youth Service Award - Recognizes students who go beyond the volunteer commitments sometimes required of high school seniors to create, organize, run and inspire programs that support a greater community good. - Awarded to seniors in May.

Business –

North Bay Leadership Council: Leaders of the North Bay Awards – Leaders within business, organizations, and/or partnerships who contribute to the community through their leadership. - Awarded November.

North Bay Bohemian: Your Favorite North Bay Businesses, Best of Year - Last quarter of the year. Results published in following March.
