Hands Across the County Events

Hands Across the County, a county-wide volunteer work day underwritten by Friedman's Home Improvement,  mobilizes volunteer groups and individuals to help with work projects for nonprofit organizations. This is a quarterly event.

More than 200 volunteers join Hands Across the County once a quarter project to work with nonprofits throughout the county.  Whether sorting food at Redwood Empire Food Bank, doing yard work on the grounds of Hallberg Butterfly Gardens, planting trees at the Laguna De Santa Rosa, working with animals at the McDonald Ranch, helping out at the Harvest for the Hungry’s Great Plant Sale or getting involved with Petaluma’s Butter and Egg Days’ celebration, they all manage to make a difference while also having fun and making friends.
