The Human Race The Human Race is the largest collaborative fund-raising event in Sonoma County and the largest Human Race in the nation! The first Human Race raised $1,800. In 2006 over 10,000 walkers and runners joined forces to raise 1.1 million dollars for 400+ non profits. The 50,000 people who contribute $5, $10, or $100 to their favorite non profit are the secret to Sonoma County's Human Race success story. The Breakfast of Champions, held in January, focuses on the business community, and is the kick-off for this event. The date for 2008 is Wednesday, January 30.The Breakfast features a noteworthy guest speaker who addresses over 300 guests gathered to rally their spirits and learn how to succeed in their Human Race experience. The breakfast begins at 7:30 am and is held at the Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa. Call 573-3399 for further information.

The Hands & Hearts of the Holidays is made possible due to the generosity of over 80 business sponsors. Each year over 17,000 gifts are provided to the clients of 150 social service agencies. Businesses, agencies, and individuals work together in a collaborative
community-wide effort that brings joy and hope to everyone involved.

The Sweetheart Ball, created by Charles M. Schulz, is Sonoma County's finest--and most fun--formal dinner dance. Every Feburary, a magical fantasyland is created for a night filled with food, frolic, auctions, and more. Save the date for 2008, Saturday, February 23.
