Fund Development

The Human Race The Human Race is the largest collaborative fund-raising event in Sonoma County and the largest Human Race in the nation! The first Human Race raised $1,800. In 2006 over 10,000 walkers and runners joined forces to raise 1.1 million dollars for 400+ non profits. The 50,000 people who contribute $5, $10, or $100 to their favorite non profit are the secret to Sonoma County's Human Race success story. The date for the Human Race 2009 is May 9th. Call 573-3399 for further information.

Sonoma County's Secret Santa is made possible due to the partnership of the Volunteer Center, KZST and Friedman's Home Improvement in conjunction with over 80 business sponsors. Each year over 17,000 gifts are provided to the clients of 150 social service agencies. Businesses, agencies, and individuals work together in a collaborative community-wide effort that brings joy and hope to everyone involved

The Sweetheart Ball, created by Charles M. Schulz, is Sonoma County's finest--and most fun--formal dinner dance. Every Feburary, a magical fantasyland is created for a night filled with food, frolic, auctions, and more. Save the date for 2009, Saturday, February 28.
