The Human Race The Human Race is the largest collaborative fund-raising event in Sonoma County and the largest Human Race in the nation! The first Human Race raised $1,800. In 2006 over 10,000 walkers and runners joined forces to raise 1.1 million dollars for 400+ non profits. The 50,000 people who contribute $5, $10, or $100 to their favorite non profit are the secret to Sonoma County's Human Race success story. The Breakfast of Champions is held in January and focuses on the business community. It is the kick-off for this event. The Breakfast features a noteworthy guest speaker who addresses over 300 guests gathered to rally their spirits and learn how to succeed in their Human Race experience. The Sweetheart Ball, created by Charles M. Schulz, is Sonoma County's finest--and most fun--formal dinner dance. Every February, a magical fantasyland is created for a night filled with food, frolic, auctions, and more.

Hands Across the County is a county-wide volunteer work day underwritten by Friedman's Home Improvement that mobilizes volunteer groups and individuals to help with work projects for nonprofit organizations. This is a quarterly event. Learn more by clicking here.
