Event: 15-190 Resource Center Roundtable
Status: Closed

Since 1972, Nonprofits have been given two options to choose from when it comes to paying for unemployment: they can either 1. Pay State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) or 2. just pay out the actual unemployment benefits that have been collected by their former employees.  Today, tens of thousands of Nonprofits across the country exercise the latter option for one simple reason: they typically pay less than half as much in unemployment expenses as they would have if they had paid SUI.

Woody Clark with The Nonprofit Unemployment Fund
will speak about the pros and cons of each option.

The Financial Managers Roundtable is an opportunity to meet with other nonprofit financial managers to network, share successes and challenges, and hear speakers on pertinent topics. This group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 8:30-10:00am at the Volunteer Center.

Venue :
Volunteer Center, 153 Stony Circle, Suite 100
