Board Match
BOARDMATCH is a
program of the Resource Center for Nonprofits that matches Sonoma County
residents who want to make a difference with nonprofit organizations that need
committed board members.
Nonprofits who are recruiting new board
members can contact the Resource Center and request an agency application. This
information will be used when we refer potential board members to organizations
of interest to them.

Basic Training for Board Members/ AN ONSITE TRAINING FOR NONPROFIT BOARDS
Are
all your board members on the same page when it comes to understanding their
roles and responsibilities? Have an expert come meet with your board! This two
hour training is tailored to meet your needs, focusing on: · legal roles
and responsibilities · policy and planning · finance and fundraising ·
community relations · evaluation of the Executive Director · board
recruitment and development · effective meetings
In addition, the
trainer will guide you through an assessment of your board's strengths and help
you develop a plan to make your board even more effective.
The fee for
the On-site Basic Board Training is $250 for nonprofit member and $275 for
non-members, payable upon completion of the training.
Fundraising for
Board Members / AN ONSITE TRAINING FOR NONPROFIT BOARDS
Do all of your board
members participate in fundraising in some way? This two hour training helps
board members pick the most effective and comfortable ways for them to make a
difference in the bottom line. You'll learn:
· why would people give to
your organization? · what are the best fundraising strategies for your
board? · how can you be a great ambassador for your agency? · how do you
tell your organization's story and open doors? · what do you do if you meet
Bill Gates in the elevator?
No one is born knowing how to fundraise. Help
your board translate their good intentions into practical support, and have some
fun while they're at it.
The fee for the On-site Fundraising for Board
Member Training is $250 for nonprofit member and $275 for non-members, payable
upon completion of the training.
